Biology Laboratory Company Segment Manager

 Details: 职责:

1.Works closely with sales segment director to understand the customer requirements of the segment.

2. Develops an understanding of the macro economic trends and industry dynamics in the segment in order to provide input to projections for sales forecasting models.

3. Develops extensive knowledge of the competition in the segment.

4. Develops understanding of regulatory trends, research funding and testing requirements.

5. Develops understanding of academic, government purchasing behaviours.

6. Develops understanding of environmental management, waste water analysis and treatment issues.

7. Conducts customer primary research to complement sales generated customer requirements.

8. Develops understanding of other entities within Fisher that provide products and services not typically available through the USDO channel

9. Provides input to strategic planning initiative as the subject matter expert for the segment

10. Works with application managers to define and properly position new application requirements

11. Creates value added bundled offerings of products and services and the appropriate marketing and sales support tools

12. Directs marketing progrSegment Manager - Goverment ams – prepares ad campaigns, marketing plans, expense budgets.

13. Develops (along with finance) ARs and associated project ROI calculations.

14. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

要求

1. Understanding of the business segment and economic drivers

2. Demonstrated experience in academic funding, government affairs, HES (Health, Envirnment & Safety) issues.

3.  Relevant selling experience in that market a plus. Direct  experience with market campaigns.

4.  Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, including developing sales materials.

5.  Ability to envision big picture while understanding all of the parts and pieces

6.  Analytical ability to understand trends and dissect industry data

7.  Ability to articulate ideas and findings to senior and executive management 

8. Familiarity with sales information systems, database query tools.

9.  High level of interpersonal skills

10.  Presentation platform skills

11.  Must be team oriented

12. Creative and enthusiastic
